Heavy industry accounts for a big proportion of Shizuishan' economy. As the city is an industrial city born during the era of coal mining and processing, problems such as low efficiency and pollution emerged. To solve the problem, the city took a series of major changes, including industrial transformation, ecological transformation and also livelihood transformation.
