'Boundaryless education' model boosts graduate employment for university in Beijing

The Beijing University of Financial Technology has pioneered a "boundaryless education" model through strategic industry partnerships, having achieved a high graduate employment rate for its students this year.
As of June 9, 73.86 percent of the university's 2025 graduates have confirmed their destinations, with 35.4 percent employed and 38.46 percent pursuing further studies, according to a report on the Chinanews.com.
The private university employs a tailored approach, categorizing students into groups like postgraduate studies, entrepreneurship, or job seeking.
For students seeking work, the school provides personalized guidance and leverages its corporate network for targeted job matching, according to the college's employment services and school-enterprise cooperation center.
One initiative was a specialized campus job fair held on May 21. Unlike traditional large-scale events, this fair emphasized "small scale, precise matching, specialized fields, and high quality". Positions were directly aligned with the school's academic programs, such as finance roles for finance majors and user interface design positions for creative arts students.
"The fair allowed me to find relevant positions quickly and have one-on-one conversations with employers, gaining valuable industry insights," Zhang Hongyang, a 2025 graduate, was quoted as saying in the report.
Beyond job fairs, the school also embeds career development throughout each student's academic journey, offering continuous services from enrollment to graduation.
This comprehensive support system, integrating professional training with industry needs, effectively bridges education and employment, authorities of the school said.
