on Monday, fleeing through barbed wire stockades in the first
escape from the compound since the American military took over the
former Soviet airbase.
Also Monday, rescuers reported finding the body of a U.S. Navy SEAL,
the last to be accounted for from a four-man special forces unit that
disappeared after a June 28 ambush in the rugged mountains in the east of
the country.
U.S. and Afghan forces launched a manhunt for the suspects, identified
as Arabs from Syria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Libya. U.S. soldiers set up
roadblocks and helicopters clattered low over villages near the heavily
guarded base north of the capital, Kabul.

據(jù)悉，4名越獄者分別來(lái)自敘利亞、科威特、沙特阿拉伯和利比亞。越獄事件發(fā)生后，在基地周?chē)透浇迩f，數(shù)十名美軍士兵每隔數(shù)百米，攔截過(guò)往車(chē)輛加以搜查，美軍直升機(jī)在空中盤(pán)旋。不過(guò)奧哈拉認(rèn)為，身穿橙色囚服的越獄者可能仍在基地內(nèi)。
