Traveling along the Hefei-Huangshan Expressway via Tongling and Jiuhua Mountain (Four-day Tour of Hefei, Jiuhua Mountain,Taiping Lake, Huangshan Mountain, Hongcun Village and Old Tunxi Street)
Day 1: Start from Hefei, capital of Anhui, visit the Lord Bao Memorial, Pengle Ecological Park, Former Residence of Li Hongzhang or Hefei Yuanyi International Golf Club, Anhui Provincial Museum in the morning;
then drive to Jiuhua Mountain along the Tongling-Jiuhuashan Expressway, and stop at the ancient Sanhe Town to enjoy the delicious local food;
and arrive at the destination in the afternoon where travelers can watch the Buddhist ceremonies and taste famous vegetarian food. Stay for the night in Jiuhua Mountain.
Day 2: Visit the Huacheng Temple, Longevity Temple and Ksitigarbha's Dogabo in Jiuhua Mountain in the morning;
then leave for Huangshan District so as to appreciate the rippling Taipinghu Lake and enjoy the fish feast. Stay for the night in Huangshan District.
Day 3: After breakfast, climb up Huangshan Mountain by the Taiping cable cars, the largest of its kind in Asia, to visit the West Sea Canyon, North Sea Scenic Area, Bright Summit Peak Tianhai Scenic Area, Jade Screen Scenic Area; and do not forget to say hello to the Greeting Pine before going down the mountain by the Jade-screen Cable Car. Then take a ride to famous historical and cultural Shexian County, and visit Hongcun Village (a world heritage site) where South Lake, Yuezhao Pond, and Chengzhitang Hall are all must-sees. Stay for the night in the Huangshan Xinhui Resort where hot spring are available, or choose to go shopping on the Ancient Tunxi Streets. Put up for the night in Huangshan City.
Day 4: Visit the Huashan Mysterious Grottos, and the Xieyu Tea Museum to find out how the reputed Maofeng tea is produced, then go back home from Huangshan City or nearby ports.
